Making up one of the twenty districts in the Northern Region of North Ghana is Yendi, a commercial hub in the middle of most towns/villages in the northern corridor. Most people traveling to Tamale and beyond the Eastern corridor have to go through Yendi thus making it an important transport hub.
That’s not all, Yendi has a special place in the hearts of Ghanaians and a place in the annals of the history of Ghana. The Kingdom of Dagbon, one of the oldest and most organized traditional kingdoms in northern Ghana founded by the Dagomba people (Dagbamba) in the 11th century is found in Yendi. Today, the king of Dagbon’s court remains at the city of Yendi. The kingdom is divided into territorial chiefdoms, categorized from divisional to village chieftaincies. The monarch of Dagbon is known as the Ya Naa (also spelt Ya Na, Ya-Na, Yaa Naa).
Saying yes to Sex while in Yendi is part of keeping the tradition of the fierce and proud Dagomba people who stood up against the British and the Germans and waged one of the most organized and action-packed
