Adenta East is a town in Adenta District in the Greater Accra Region of southeastern Ghana and north of Madina.
The Adenta Municipal is one of the sixteen (16) districts in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Its capital is Adenta East. The Municipal has a land area of about 928.4 sq km. It shares boundaries with Ashaiman Municipal Assembly and Kpong Akatamanso District Assembly in the east and north, La Nkwantanang Municipal Assembly in the West and south, in the north.
Adenta East is the thirty-ninth most populous settlement in Ghana, in terms of population. Of the population 11 years and older, 91.9 percent are literate and 8.1 percent is not literate. Adenta municipality was carved out of Tema Metropolitan Assembly in February 2008 by LI 1888.
Adentan serves as a dormitory town for most people who have migrated to seek employment in the service sector, industries and government institutions within the TemaAccra metropolitan areas.
The Municipality lies 10 kilometres to the Northeast of Accra, which is specifically located on latitude 5′ 43” north and longitude 0′ 09” west.

The celebration of this festival in the Municipality is not as grand as in main Ga traditional areas due to its ethnic diversity.
